12 years of Assamblage - The start of a new community
Assamblage The School of Contemporary Jewelry was founded in October 2010 at the initiative of designer David Sandu as the first educational platform in Romania dedicated to jewelry design, being a cornerstone for the new generation of contemporary artists and designers.
Over the course of 11 years, Assamblage has held 200 courses and workshops and has more than 700 graduates. Through the various educational and cultural activities he has carried out, it has become a place where designers meet to discuss, learn new things and start projects together. 12 years after its establishment, Assamblage School of Contemporary Jewelry changes its headquarters and becomes Assamblage - Institute of Art and Design. The discourse and mission expand into a new multidisciplinary educational direction, adding new courses and workshops in ceramics, engraving, photography, drawing, 3D prototyping, cultural marketing and more. A new creative space for study, dialogue and experimentation, hosted in an interbelic house in Dimitrie Racovita Street no. 18, Bucharest.
