The largest edition of Romanian Jewelry Week - over 230 designers, 8 collective exhibitions, 4 connex cultural locations
The Association Assamblage continues this year's contemporary jewelry marathon with the most extensive event dedicated to jewelry in Bucharest - the 4th edition of Romanian Jewelry Week. Between October 4th and 8th, at the National Library of Romania, over 230 designers, schools, associations, and collectives from over 30 countries around the world are part of the ROJW 2023 selection, presenting thousands of original jewelry creations from Romania, the UK, the USA, Australia, France, Kuwait, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy, Greece, Mexico, Lithuania, Israel, Ukraine, Belgium, and many more. This year's edition has already included two other successful events within ISHO Timișoara, part of the Timișoara European Capital of Culture 2023 program, as well as the first edition of the event in Chișinău at the National Museum of History of Moldova.
The central exhibition will open on Wednesday, October 4th, at 18:30 at the National Library of Romania and will be complemented by eight collective exhibitions, schools, and renowned international associations: Slovenian Jewelry Week, Plus One Collective, Legnica Silver Festival in Poland, ArtsThread in collaboration with Gucci, One and Three Collective, Precious Collective, and The Sense of Beauty Gallery, as well as the winners of the Timeless Jewelry competition organized by the National Art Museum in Brașov. A renowned international jury will award the prizes in this edition, with members including established representatives from some of the most important international organizations in the field of contemporary jewelry, such as the European Federation of Jewelry, the Jewelry Museum in Athens - Ilias Lalaounis, Legnica Silver Festival, and many more.
During October 7th-8th, these creations can also be purchased at the Romanian Jewelry Week Fair 2023, held at the National Library of Romania, featuring more than 60 contemporary jewelry designers. Romanian Jewelry Week 4.0 will also take a tour of contemporary jewelry in four other cultural locations in Bucharest: The National Museum of Romanian Literature - the Jewelry and Literature exhibition (Tincal lab, Portugal), AlbAlb - Romanian Jewelry Focus, the Cotroceni National Museum, and the Assamblage Jewelry Gallery. The special program of Romanian Jewelry Week this year will also include a series of workshops and conferences supported by professors, designers, curators, and professionals from around the world.

1. National Library of Romania - Main Venue of Romanian Jewelry Week
The National Library of Romania will host the central exhibition of Romanian Jewelry Week for the second consecutive year, starting on October 4, 2022, as well as a special sales fair section from October 7-8, 2023, featuring over 200 designers and thousands of contemporary jewelry exhibits.

2. The National Museum of Romanian Literature.
The National Museum of Romanian Literature, in collaboration with Romanian Jewelry Week and Tincal Lab (Portugal), presents for the first time a curated selection of the "Jewelry and Literature" exhibition from October 4th to October 8th, 2023. The museum's exhibition features a selection of 120 pieces created by 56 contemporary jewelry designers from around the world.

3. The National Cotroceni Museum
The National Cotroceni Museum In collaboration with Romanian Jewelry Week is hosting a special selection of 8 contemporary jewelry designers from Romania, Moldova, Italy, Germany, and Greece, who were featured in this year's special editions of Romanian Jewelry Week in Timișoara and Chișinău. Additionally, the exhibition will showcase the winners of the Timeless Jewelry competition, which is part of the "Echoes of Prestige," a cultural project initiated by the Museum of Art Brașov in partnership with Assamblage - National Association of Contemporary Jewelry Authors and Designers, and the National Cotroceni Museum, co-financed by the AFCN (The Administration of the National Cultural Fund).

4. AlbAlb - Romanian Jewelry Focus
Exclusively dedicated to Romanian creators, AlbAlb showcases a generous selection of design products with a special emphasis on author jewelry. AlbAlb hosts the Monom showroom in Bucharest, featuring jewelry pieces by: Daniela Cățoi, Diana Cojocaru, Maria Paltin, Anayd Blu, Cara, Alis Lalu, Contemporia, Octavia Chiru, Instance, Atelier Devi, Vilegiatura, Enda, Mesteshukar ButiQ, Ana Marchetanu, Human APJ, Artefact Room, Catrinel Săbăciag, Carla Szabo, Karakter, Gruni, Ceramic Sparrow, and Mica Cera.

5. Assamblage Jewelry Gallery
Considering jewelry as both art and necessity, Assamblage Jewelry Gallery is the result of a long process of stimulation, support, and development of the contemporary jewelry field. Located in Bucharest, Romania, the Assamblage Gallery is the first permanent space dedicated to contemporary jewelry and an extension of the efforts of the Assamblage School of Jewelry to educate the public in this discipline.

6. Film Screening: SMCK on Reel 2023, the first international film festival inspired by jewelry, with the theme "Civilization Rebooted."
Through the organization of collateral events, conferences, and special exhibitions, Romanian Jewelry Week will create cultural exchange moments that will project a fascinating and accessible image of jewelry to visitors. The exhibition will encompass not only jewelry but also wearable sculptures capable of profoundly transforming the wearer.
