ANA MARIA STEFANESCU
Biography:
I’ve always needed to create something. Anything. There were times when I was writing a lot. But it wasn’t enough. I wanted more. I’ve graduated the Institute of Arhitecture “Ion Mincu”. It opened my horizon and educated the taste for art. I’ve found myself in various activities related to art and architecture. I’ve wanted to create and make jewelry since very early age. In 2016 I have discovered the classes from Assamblage, and that was the start. Jewelry is art and architecture in the same time, on a micro scale. Weareable art, wearable architecture. I’m feeling now I have found my “home” and perfect way of communication – creatively speeking. The workbench and the workshop is my “Shangri-La”. Ideas are born there, things are happening.
Collection Concept: EPHEMEREAL FLIGHT
The present collection tries to tell a story about the Life, with the fragility and ephemeral that is carrying. Is a story about unconditional love, about flight and freedom, but also about boundaries and barriers that we have – real or immagined. Is a mixed collection, of jewelry and small decorative objects. I have used classic materials – such as gold, silver and copper, and also new materials: epoxy resin, cement, acrylic and fluorescent paints. EPHEMEREAL FLIGHT is the story of the life, with it’s fragile beginning, with the complex and complicated path, till the end of it, when we are free to go to a new and unknown dimension – yet scientifically proved – a dimension that we only can imagine or suspect.
