Biography:

Contemporia is a jewelry brand created out of passion and love for art and craft by two designers from Bucharest: Ioana Streza and Alex Burlacu, in 2014. Contemploria jewels are created as extensions for the personality of the one who chooses to wear them, not just elements that complement the outfit. They are dedicated to open-minded people, who love art and regard jewelry as an object in which the creator invested first and foremost his soul.

Collection Concept: Kaolin

Without consciously intending to do so we created Kaolin jewelry collection as a melting pot for our artistic searches and creative approaches, our aspirations, contradictions and internal struggles. The result is a collection of reconciling contrasts: simple, white volumes, inspired by the delicate shape of insect wings and vegetal elements, intricate metal elements carefully holding the ceramic pieces, while symmetry refers to human intervention, controlled, rigorous, perhaps even futuristic and technology driven.
