Collection Concept: Under Pressure

The pressure that forces on us in this period of life, causes us to change. Changes often modify our forms and beauties, therefore we will never be those old creatures. These pressures make us new beings with new colors and faces. With hope, this difficult path can be tolerated and try to put back together with the crushed and burnt pieces for making a new beautiful human.

Under pressure collection, made on handmade paper pulps deform into unexpected shapes before drying due to pressure. After drying, burns have been created on it by fire. These burns have brought unpredictable forms and colors. For connecting the separated parts, some pieces of wood which are found in nature. At last, I could make wonderful pieces that have passed the hard path.

“Faces covered with a mask

On the top two helpless eyes

A beautiful flower with a pin

Put on my chest

Until fill

Empty looks of mouthless wayfarers

Until being a smile

For lipless faces

And maybe revive a beauty

For disturbed minds”
