Biography:

Ilaria Demo De Lorenzi (1995) is an Italian art director and artist. She graduated with hons from NABA, Milano in Arts and Fashion Design in 2018. In 2020 she attended the “Art Direction for Fashion” course at Central St. Martins College in London and the “Enamelling” course at the Ambrosiana Goldsmith School in Milan. In 2022 she was chosen to take part to the “Curatorial Lab for Emerging Artists Liv. 2” hosted by YOGURT- Creative Agency in Rome.

Her work explores the notion of memory and loss, combining different media such as photography, cyanotypes, sculpture, metal castings and rediscovered objects. Her artistic practice aims to give new life to abandoned and forgotten material, through a patient spiritual process. Each final work tells the stories of those forms of life that already came to an end, leaving traces behind them.

Collection concept:

Her jewelry line “Escapism” founded in 2020, focuses on concepts such as memory, death and loss, broken or unloved. Her wearable one-of-a-kind artifacts are made with real organic found materials such as plants, insects, animal bones or teeth. The selected pieces are carefully assembled through a process of experimental fusion that gives elements a new life.
