Biography:
In 2011 I graduated The National Academy of Theatre and Film Art “Krustyo Sarafov”, Sofia, as Master of Animation directory. I have more than 15 years of working experience as freelance graphic designer and animator.
My journey in the jewelry world started in 2011 by creating the brand - OMAYA, as a side project for creative self-expression and outlet for my love of jewelry design. Soon it turned to be my main activity and opportunity to experiment with contemporary design, alternative and up-cycling materials. In jewelry I find a short and independent way to communicate my statements with the audience.
As a person, who’s environmentally aware,working with natural materials and recycling the human waste into contemporary art and objects of beauty gives me the greatest fulfillment as an artist.
Collection Concept: TAUFR
TAUFR is an Old Norse word for talisman and magic and refers especially to rune craft.
TAUFR collection is inspired by Scandinavian nature's harsh beauty and spirit - mystical, rough and strong, constantly longing for freedom and adventure. Every single piece has the wild and natural appearance as if it was organic part of Nordic landscapes. This unique talismans behold the mystical energy of raw gem stones and minerals built in naturally shaped drift wood and sea glass... not only beautiful but also empowered by the magic of old Nordic runes.
