Designer biography:

The road is long, the road is made up of many experiments and of many mistakes. I started down this path of jewelry some years ago. At the beginning I tried a lot of elements and methods of work. It is important to learn and have a great bag of tools to make creating pieces of jewelry possible. And over time it is settling into making the things you like in particular , with the methods I learned and mastered and based on things that I like and enjoy. Sometimes it is the coming together of all these factors that helps a creator to make not just a piece they like. They make a piece that represents them in the truest form of who they are as a creative individual. Of course during a person's life there has to be change, there has to be growth and there has to be a moment to learn from mistakes and move on. I am still learning and figuring out one or more of the elements for that moment when I can finish a piece and say happily that that piece represents me or a moment of my journey and or a moment in time.

Collection concept:

For the last three years I have gone down the road of making one particular element. I have settled on one element, paftale. The role of the piece has not changed. It is still meant to be worn around the waist, it still needs to be closed tight in order to hold the clothes close to the body. All I do is play with the style, with the elements, with the materials, with the stones. I can make one piece made in one style, it could be inspired from a medieval treasure with a lot of stones and simple in metalwork. And the other I can look at art nouveau or greek theater masks, and there are fewer small stones but much more metal work. I would say that all I make today is between two moments in history when it comes to style and elements. And the rest is my personal way of making jewelry.
