Collection concept:
My work consists in two major collections : Astre and Gravité
I am unveiling now “Comètes” a limited series part of the GRAVITÉ collection, made of essential and synthetic forms.
COMETS: A STARRY UNIVERSE, THE CELESTIAL VAULT AT YOUR FINGERTIPS in 925 silver, rough diamonds and ruby crystals. Inspired by the sky iconography, the celestial vault and space, I have been developing this year a limited series of 21 “Comets” pieces. On each, a drawn nebulous and lunar pattern. Like comets, diamonds and rubis are the meteors spinning on the jewelry pieces. Gems are the symbol of the connection between heaven and earth. The infinitely large and the infinitely small are linked and form a whole. Each jewel is unique, designed according to the raw stone and the original texture of the molten silver. Set with rough diamonds and chiseled by hand. To build a series of similar and unique pieces at the same time, I set up several stages of realization: the manufacture of the model, a clear, tense form added to a rugged silver cast, textured with a skin very marked and at the end, the drawing of the pattern made at the time of the placement of the stones and the carving. It is a game, a search for form between precision and accident, the surprise of the random.
