LIFE IN MONO

Designer biography:

LIFE IN MONO is a contemporary jewelry studio created by Tana Enedi. Scaling the idea of a conceptualized emotion, Tana always felt the need of designing and crafting pieces of jewelry that convey feelings as an expression of one’s personal identity. Besides the ready-to-wear LIFE IN MONO collections, Tana loved the challenges of designing several capsule collections like Mended (launched in 2017) or Supersize (launched in 2018). Those were on display in contemporary jewelry exhibitions around the world like Romanian Design Week 2017 & 2018 editions, DesignBlok Prague, Boz’Art Bruxelles, UN Headquarters New York, Galateca Art Gallery, Design Fair Vienna or Romanian National History Museum. In a nutshell, that’s what LIFE IN MONO Jewelry stands for: blending emotions into shapes.

Who decides how much is too much?

My intention was to convey the idea of folio balloons into dramatic pieces of jewelry. To create an extravagant mise-en-scene that welds together boldness and elation, flashes of light and bright colors. The result turned into a play in which the jewelry speaks as a leading actor.

Excesivo collection brings to stage an effervescent state of mind, a continuous dialogue between unconventional materials and delicate metal fittings that complement the ensemble.
