Collection concept:
My work is rooted in the formal traditions of metalsmithing and enameling. I am drawn to the lines and shapes found in nature as well as architecture. I create objects that reflect on elements from everyday life. I enjoy using cloisonne techniques to transform designs into small vignettes made of metal and glass.
We are shaped by our past experiences, feelings, and reactions. I hold these formative experiences dear because I value how they have shaped me. I celebrate what makes me different and know others will relate.
My past experiences that I commemorate in my work have deeply impacted me and formed me into the person I am today. Each piece represents a moment, a certain feeling, or a part of myself that is responsible for revealing parts of my identity as an individual, a daughter, and a foreigner.
