SIAJ Slovenian Association of Jewellers:

SIAJ - Slovenian Association of Jewellers is a non-profit cultural organization founded in 2021 aimed at promoting contemporary jewellery, fostering the exchange of ideas and experiences, and the development of theoretical and practical projects within the international and national art field. SIAJ was founded in Ljubljana within the community of jewelry designers. They wanted an association where they could create projects, develop exchanges and launch new platforms for a discipline that increasingly calls for professional development.

Among the founding members of SIAJ are Olga Košica, Rok Marinšek and Urška Košica, as well as many people who are dedicated to jewelry, to teaching and to studying it. The main objectives are to organize workshops, training activities, and other pedagogical activities in contemporary jewelry and to organize meetings, debates, seminars, residences, exhibitions, and other cultural, national, and international initiatives.

Slovenian Jewelry Week:

In 2022, the first Slovenian Jewelry Week took place. A pilot project. Our goal was to successfully bring together and present selected domestic designers of contemporary jewelry to the general public. In 2023, second edition. From 11 to 19 May 2023, Slovenian Jewellery Week brought together Slovenian and international designers. A highlight of SIJW 2023 was the exhibitions of more than 100 Slovenian and international jewellery designers. Half of the contemporary jewellery designers will come from all over Slovenia, the other half from all over the world, from countries such as Argentina, Mexico, USA, Vietnam, Japan, China, Iran, Israel, Georgia, Moldova, Australia, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Slovakia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and ten designers selected by the Romanian Jewellery Week. The exhibitions took place in Ljubljana, Maribor, Izola, Radovljica and Slovenj Gradec, and were joined by other events in these locations.
