Collection concept:
My current works focus heavily on introspection. Being fairly new to making wearable pieces, I’ve found myself applying my background in sculptural form in ways I hadn’t thought to create before. I arrived at creating smaller works from dealing with some health issues, and working small allowed me to focus, concentrate, and take me somewhere where things were just beautiful and the steps, though challenging, were simple. A place that allowed me to begin a piece and finish it with all of the resolve that large scale sculpture had provided me in times passed. Within that, and along the way, I’ve come to sincerely appreciate how loudly a well crafted ring can speak and how these types of items can become ingrained in our daily lives and personal identities. To be responsible in crafting a piece that someone someday resonates with enough to engage with it daily is a privilege that I hope to share.
