Designer biography:

Claude L was a Graduate professor of Technology. Claude L is a self-taught jewelry artist but she was taught in the work of plastics, fabrics, papers, metals and stones. After training many students (and young teachers) to work with various materials for many years, she decided in 2017 to create contemporary jewelry.

Collection concept:

My jewels are like small wearable sculptures. My jewels are like relics, Memories of a rich past of a certain lived experience, on which "some traces" are visible, but can appear in layers given the uses «over the centuries". I seek to express fragility and evolution of the city with remains of concrete showing Imprints of Time and richness of past. Like a poetic journey, my « relic jewels » are an invitation to question our negligence, forgetfulness and call to memory. What image does a society intend to give by the destruction or abandonment of « ruins ». If these “remains” rich from an accumulation of memories become the future support of rebirth…
