Designer biography:
My name is IULIANA VOICU, I graduated from the "N. TONITZA" high-school from Bucharest and UNARTE - Bucharest. In my experience of almost 20 years as a plastic artist, I have worked with several types of materials that I have combined harmoniously: clay, textiles, ceramics, porcelain… I have remained faithful to porcelain due to its finesse and purity, of the infinite combinations of colors and possible effects and the nobility of the finished pieces. I participated in numerous fairs and profile actions, after which I enjoyed the appreciation of the general public, a fact that pushed me to reinvent myself and experiment with new techniques and materials. This is how LIAPHORIA was born, an own concept that manages since 2015 to "stamp" the desire for beauty, warmth and softness…
Collection concept:
"PARTS OF THE SOUL" -
I admit that I am attracted by philosophy and, starting from this, I decided that the new collection of porcelain jewelry should be called "PARTS OF THE SOUL"... The ancients said that the human soul has 3 parts: reason, spirit and appetite. Starting from here, my new collection "PARTS OF THE SOUL" wants to show that the parts of the soul are the pieces of our vital energy and wants to include them together in such a way that they don't "migrate" but stay with us, in a perfect balance! The typical situations, but especially the atypical ones that life offers us, make the parts of the soul no longer concentric and this is how fear, fear, trauma appears… This is what I tried to capture in the new "PARTS OF THE SOUL" collection, faces reproduced in various moments of life, calm faces, scared faces, resigned faces.
