Designer biography:

With a degree in Economics and a PhD in management, I taught Economics for 15 years. From 2019, I started studying the art of jewelry with David Sandu and Andreia Gabriela Popescu, teachers at Assamblage, the Institute of Art and Design in Bucharest. Since 2021, I have exhibited at contemporary jewelry exhibitions in the country (Romanian Jewelry Week 2020 - 2023) and abroad (1st Contemporary Jewelry Biennial Lisbon 2021, VI Muestra Orfebrería Contemporánea de Madrid 2022, Milano Jewelry Week 2022, VIII Muestra Orfebrería Contemporánea de Madrid 2024). The main inspiration for the jewelry is nature, with all its shapes and colors but I consider jewelry as a means to expose ideas about human feelings. I use working methods and techniques such as construction and centrifugal casting, keum-boo and wire crocheting.

Behind and Beyond

Behind and Beyond is encapsulating my fears and hopes while revealing the multiple layers of my soul, is about what I discovered about myself while dealing with a tragic loss in my life. The surface and the interior are different but interfering one with another, roughly edged, uneven or dark but also sometimes shining or full of color, the transparency being the symbol of acceptance.
