Collection concept:
The collection "I Wear My Shadow with Love" embodies the journey of self knowledge and self acceptance, illustrating that true change begins from within. Each piece, crafted from a delicate yet resilient blend of glass and ceramics, is designed to symbolise the constant, intimate relationship we have with our own shadows. The fantastical dark face featured in the artworks invites its wearer to explore the multifaceted nature of their inner selves, transforming perceived darkness into a source of strength and creativity. This collection challenges conventional notions of darkness by juxtaposing it with themes of tenderness and love, advocating for a compassionate embrace of all aspects of one's identity. In the context of contemporary urban life, these wearable art pieces serve as powerful statements of self-affirmation. They call for resilience, and mental health awareness, encouraging individuals to proudly wear their complexities.
This is where all my work is grounded conceptually - promoting self knowledge and self acceptance as a starting point to any change.
