MARIAE JIANU
Designer biography:
Marie Jianu is a contemporary jewellery designer, wife and mother, passionate metalsmith, artisan of personal harmony, transposed in metallic interpretations. Since 2011 she has participated in contemporary jewellery courses at Assamblage – Institute of Arts and Design alongside her mentors, David Sandu and Andreia Gabriela Popescu, and she has experimented with different techniques. In 2020 she started learning the Chasing and Repousse technique with Maestro Aquafresca, a technique which she fell in love with and which she uses in her collections. The chasing and repousse technique brought up the need to draw, so starting in 2021 she began to learn the art of drawing with Master Matei Șerban Sandu.
