What did you want to be as a child?

When I was a child, I wanted to be a designer.

When did you start creating jewelry? How did this passion come about?

I started making jewelry when I entered university.I chose the major of jewelry design in university, and got more contact with contemporary jewelry art, and I became more and more fascinated by jewelry design.

What was your first project or piece that was meaningful to you and from what point of view?

For me, the most meaningful personal work is my work when I graduated from university. Combining the phoenix and paper in Chinese mythology is also a breakthrough in self and cultural inheritance.

How do you charge your batteries? What other passions and creative interests do you have?

I am passionate about illustration and sculpture, and all kinds of expressions in contemporary art are my favorite.

What does the connection between manufacturing tradition and contemporary design mean to you?

I think the use of traditional manufacturing is a technical form of contemporary art.

Is there a self-portrait piece that speaks most about you?

I think my self-portraits are relatively dark, which may be completely different from my works. This is horrible me.

Which material have you not yet used is a temptation and a challenge for you?

Currently I use cheap materials, maybe I will use gold and diamonds in the future.

How was the pandemic period for you as a jewelry designer?

I think this is a challenge, for everyone, of course, it also gives me time to create new works.

How do you see the future of contemporary jewelry?

With the development of contemporary art, I believe that there will be more breakthroughs in the field of contemporary jewelry, perhaps a new renaissance in the near future.
