ATHANASIA VAYIANOU
Biography:
Athanasia is an artist from Limassol, Cyprus. As a response to growing up with the island’s politically charged history, she developed an awareness and appreciation for history and imagination. Moving to Canada, she graduated from NSCAD University with a BFA in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing in 2017 and became an airCraft resident at the Centre for Craft in 2018-2019. Athanasia continues to explore history, outer space, and fantasy by using traditional enameling and metalsmithing techniques. She now lives in rural Nova Scotia working full-time as a jewellery artist and educator.
