FLAVIA GHEORGHIAN

Biography:

I am a multidisciplinary artist working with: metal and gemstones, ink, watercolor, oil paints, ceramics, paper and any other material I find inspiring, that falls into my hands. I like to create meaningful pieces that one would treasure forever.

I find my inspiration in nature, history and architecture, trying to take in everything that is given to me and manifest it in my art.

Collection Concept: Grounded

Grounded has two meanings: firstly, a grounded person is someone who is confident, sensible and knows what is important in life. Secondly, it refers to a form of confinement. In order to survive being grounded, one must strive to stay grounded. I thought of the practice of grounding/ earthing - walking barefoot, to contact the Earth's surface to get strength, balance and inner peace. I put a little Earth into jewelry by using raw stones I picked up from the ground, as well as polished ones.
