Andreea Carastoian (Romania)
ANDREEA CARASTOIAN
Biography:
CARA is actually Andreea CARAstoian, who has been passionate about jewelry and geometrical shapes from childhood, starting with Toho beads and modelling clay.
I joined the basic courses organized by Assamblage Contemporary Jewelry School. With my first silver and concrete pieces I was selected to participate in the 2020 First Edition of Romanian Jewelry Week. This experience proved to be an important milestone in my future development as a jewelry designer.
In the last years I took more courses and learned new techniques, working with new materials like gold and bronze.
Collection Concept: x2, x3
Times two, continues with different textures and shapes the story of silver and concrete in my jewelry. Every new piece is created with more confidence, looking for a clean and simple connection between the two "grey" materials.
Times three, introduces bronze which brings a warm shade to the silver-concrete combination. I find bronze to be elegant and discrete as a colorful addition to my jewelries.
I believe my pieces become more complex in time, as my knowledge about these materials increases, my passion about them deepens and my techniques improve and multiply.
