Biography:
Diana Diacon is a 3D artist specialized in creating content for real time applications. She started designing jewelry in the digital environment, later developing a taste for physical jewelry, experimenting with different materials as a way to explore the creative process and self expression. Still her main interest is the jewelry experience in the virtual environment as it promises a much needed freedom.
Collection Concept:
Straight out of a Funeral it’s the aftermath of 3 funerals on my grandparents’ street, in the span of a month. Some materials are sourced from one funeral. The bread is used as a symbol for life and how easily it can decay. Other elements : typical dish inspired the use of the walnut as a recurrent element. The walnut also shows the human element: dead or alive, afflicted or relieved. The main color is gold as it gives a spiritual/divine feel to it.
