Designer biography:

Alex Page was born in North Carolina, USA. Pursuing a career in art, Alex attended Appalachian State to study Graphic Design in 2014. Many of her passions emerged here, especially traveling and metalsmithing. Since then, her goal has been to “Adventure Through Jewelry.” Guided by a desire to obtain design inspiration and objects to set or cast, she explores different states and countries. Alex has studied, lived, and backpacked through Europe, created out of her minivan driving cross country, and exhibited at Encise Gallery in Barcelona and Munich Jewellery Week. Currently, she runs her small handmade jewelry business while traveling the world for inspiration and the East Coast for markets.

Collection concept:

Adventuring Through Jewelry allows Alex Page to perpetually travel after she has returned home. She creates wearable souvenirs by playfully experimenting with her memories of exploring. Her work is a humorous yet elegantly subtle examination of the ways we take risks in art, adventure, and intimacy to create our own experiences. The awkwardness of vulnerability and the curiosity of discovering foreign places inspire Alex’s design decisions. She incorporates the essence of a memory or a physical object from a destination. What is important is grasped when you leave your routines to adventure. Alex’s jewelry symbolizes these revelations, continuing your adventure through her jewelry.
