ELLINA ANDRIANOVA
Designer biography:
My name is Ellina. I was born in 1986 in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. There I received my primary art education in college. After that, I completed my master's and postgraduate studies majoring in painting at Art Academy in Kyiv. For many years my activity was connected only with painting, before 2017. The process of creating jewellery seemed incredibly interesting to me so in 2017 I found a jewellery teacher, and for the next six months, I studied this art. During this course, I created my first jewellery collection. That’s how my personal brand Ellina Iva Jewelry appeared and creating jewellery became my main activity.
Collection concept:
My new collection "Search for Hope" is a reflection of the recent events in Ukraine. This series of works reflect my desire to find a safe feeling that was brutally stolen. I started this collection by creating jewellery in the form of anti-tank hedgehogs; the next was a piece with a sea stone from the Crimean coast with a bird dreaming of returning home on it. After that, I created an object with birds that made a nest, regardless of the circumstances and with hope for the future. The collection is currently in progress, I’m planning to add to it because it develops along with my feelings.
