Designer biography:
Kiana Karimi, born in 1984 Tehran designer of the jewelry brand Kiana Karimi Tehran. She studied graphic design in an art school in Tehran, took sculpting classes after high school, and graduated with a bachelor of graphic design. Worked as graphic designer for 6 years and took some jewelry making and designing classes after that. Began her jewelry career in 2017 and used her sculpting skills to create the pieces. Participant of Milano Jewelry Week 2021-2022, with Chahkooh collection.
Collection concept:
Her first collection is inspired by the majestic mountains of Darband area in the North of Tehran.
“As I walked through this beautiful place from a very young age, I found myself exploring an amazing sculpture exhibition, every little piece of stone looked like a sculpture to me.” By making a cliff collection she was able to have her childhood memories on her finger.
