SABRINA ZORZAN
Designer biography:
Sabrina Zorzan, lives in Rome. She is an art historian, passionate about the study of the symbol in art and in the cultures of the world. She attended the San Giacomo School of Ornamental Arts in Rome, earning a goldsmith diploma. She attended and she still attends courses to learn lost wax techniques.
Her work as an artisan draws inspiration from the antiquity myths and from the world of Nature. One of her works was among the winners of the competition Lo Zafferano L'oro che germoglia, promoted by the municipality of Navelli (Aquila Central Italy ), and will be exhibited permanently in the future Zafferano Museum in Navelli.
Collection concept:
ALGAE is a jewelry collection created at the beginning of 2023, is inspired by the vegetal marine world. These forests that lives in the depths of the sea represent an enormous source of life for the entire planet, between 50 and 70% of the oxygen on Earth is produced by the photosynthesis of the algae present in the oceans.
Inspired by their majesty, elegance and loveliness but also by their tenacity so perennially clinging to the seabed and rocks that makes them resistant to the continuous motion of the waves, I wanted to dedicate the jewelery collection to some specimens of algae. A clear tribute for me to this marine plant population that each of us should thank and preserve.
