Designer biography:

I am Raluca and I represent AARU(is the name for heavenly paradise in Egyptian mythology). Aaru was born after I finally left the big city and my freelance photography job and moved to the countryside with my son. There in my garden ,inspired by nature ,its beauty, the birds singing ,the energy of the earth, I started to get in touch more than ever with my artistic side, and the creation started to flow through my hands into creating wire wrapped jewelry from copper or silver wire, a technique that I learned all on my own. After 3 years of doing that ,I wanted to evolve and so I went to Assamblage Jewelry School, where I discovered myself once again,and fell in love with creating contemporary jewelry.

Collection concept:

My first collection was born from what I treasure the most in the world-The Love itself. "Love is" - is a collection that shows the various forms of Love as I see it.In my oppinion this is the most beautiful and powerful feeling in the world,considered to be both positive and negative,with its virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection,and its vice representing a human moral flaw akin to vanity, selfishness, amour-propre, and egotism. Because I love Love so much,i'm dedicating to it these contemporary jewelry pieces that i've made from silver and bronze-a beautiful communion between those 2 metals, just like two different persons meeting,falling in love and becoming One.
