Designer biography:

Passionate about art & design, Bianca Badescu found a way to express her creativity by painting and playing with jewelry in her free time. After a near to death experience and coming back from a coma, her past years were about rebuilding herself and her life. She started attending Assamblage, The Institute of Art & Design in order to study different techniques used in creating contemporary jewelry. She fell in love with designing and handcrafting jewelry, fulfilling her desire of having absolute freedom to manifest her creativity. That’s how KORU Concept was born.

Illuminating Space

There is a message that I want to pass on through this collection: Whenever in doubt, give yourself some space. Clear up your mind. When you are too close to something or someone, you cannot see it clearly. When your emotions are too strong, the truth gets blurry. You won’t be able to see it and you will also miss the big picture. Take some time, create some space, allow yourself the freedom to put some distance between you and life situations, to take the pressure off. The empty space left in every piece from this collection emphasizes the shapes surrounding it, allowing us to see those shapes clearer and brighter. Do not forget that space has an illuminating power.
