Designer biography:

Loredana Cleja, an Interior Architect by profession, started her journey of creating contemporary jewelry in 2013, shortly after completing the initiation course at the Assamblage Jewelry School. She participated in numerous collective exhibitions in Romania and had two personal exhibitions, in 2021 and 2023.

Care for the environment became a recurring theme in her work; with each new collection she began gradually integrating materials recovered from construction sites or natural elements collected from travels, alongside structural elements made of silver. The balance between precious metal and non-conformist materials creates the narrative thread and challenges the viewer to reflection.

Collection concept:

drift/stay

Fragments of driftwood, torn out and carried away by the storm, return to the shore remodeled by the waves of the Mediterranean Sea and the marine life; they bear within them the traces of the implacable force of nature. The silver structures, in relation to the pieces of wood that the Sea gave us back, become statement necklaces and brooches and remind us to admire and preserve the gifts that nature gives us.
