Designer biography:

Betti Domonyi goldsmith and the architect. Her works are born at the intersection of texture and geometry. The creative process reveals both the architect’s and the jeweler’s edge, interpreted in a pure formal world. Traces of the tools used in the making are conceptually present on each object, expressed in sweeping curves or angular shapes. She likes to experiment with materials and has a progressive mindset. This path enables her to explore different materials in different contexts, how they interact and become one. What is most important for her is to allow the material to evolve as it will, to let it take its course, pushing the thin line between consciousness and contingency. She wants to show a segment of contemporary art where she can create self-identical creations while retaining both engineering and art.

Collection concept:

Spot of life

Nature creates small, isolated spots where life breaks new ground, survives, works, survives. Whether it's a puddle for the unicellular, an island in the sea for the shipwrecked, or a clump of shade trees on the savannah. The purpose of every individual in the universe is to pass on its genetics, encoding the knowledge of survival. The spots are part of our lives, a set of experiences and goals shaped by our micro and macro environment. Prioritization, a common intersection of sets, is your survival. How do you survive? What are your spots? For me, it's the passion I have for my art.
