Designer biography:
Raised in her family's workshop Mariagiulia Trento has approached goldsmithery from an early age, soon choosing wax carving as her primary media of expression. She created her own line of jewellery called Novitas, a latin term that roughly translates with “oddity” and that indicates all that is new, peculiar and strange. This collection opens a window on the author's mind and passions, with intricate and sculptural pieces that take inspiration from literature, folklore, all Arts and nature with a dash of humor and quirkiness.
Collection concept:
Since the beginning of the history of adornment and jewellery artists and creators have taken inspiration in nature and the world around them. In this collection Mariagiulia tries to do just that, sculpting silver and bronze in imitation of flora and fauna, creating eternal keepsakes to bring something wild with you in your everyday life. Her core production collects all these pieces, as a sort of naturalistic museum of little sculptures.
