Designer biography:
I've been a jewelry artist since 2003, mostly living and working in Denmark. I like to work on different levels of art, handicraft, and design. I mix materials and techniques. I’m a helpless collector of most everything, especially trash and wasted items. The everyday things give a twist to the context by which I manifest the conceptual content in my work. A piece of jewelry touching the body, meeting the soul, affecting the thought, that’s my goal.
Collection concept:
PRECIOUS POTATOES shrinking food resources. ANTIREWARD shame on us for all the plastic we have caused the oceans. We are used to seeing items from nature capsulated in amber. In my necklace TEARS OF THE OCEANS amber is locked in plastic like the oceans are suffering from plastic. TOUCHING TEXT – love, faith, grief, pain, touch, hug, kiss, sex, hate war, love now, peace – is an honor to Louis Braille and his invention, which has given the whole blind world a common alphabet. BY HUMAN HAND AND HEART is a string of beads made of pieces from handwritten letters by different persons joined with knots of red silk – that’s my statement of love and care. MONEY TALKS about wealth and criminality.
