Collection concept:
My jewelry work embodies a restrained symbolization of the moments when life swells and
subsides with each breath, revealing the unseen history of life—encompassing eternity and
fleeting moments, existence and absence. My recent work in the <Breath Series> draws inspiration from the forms of organs like the heart and lungs within living organisms. These pieces sculpturally represent the morphological features of these organs that function as pathways for breath to enter and exit the body. The most prominent feature is the protruding entrance on the rounded structure. This element symbolizes a conduit connecting the inside and outside of the body, reminiscent of vessels or pouches containing breath. Additionally, these forms evoke the imagery of bodies being born as they fill with breath and fading away as they empty, capturing the cycle of life and death.
