Designer biography:
In 2006, I graduated from the Product Design Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. In 2023, I graduated from the Jewelry and Metals Department of the Royal College of Art in the UK. In the past few years I have started my own brand, and my creations mainly involve ceramics, wood and metal. I am obsessed with traditional crafts and have collected thousands of pieces of Chinese antique metal jewelry for more than ten years. I am committed to applying these great ancient crafts (including but not limited to traditional Chinese crafts) into modern designs. Since last year, I have been creating a series of 22K gold works - the Life is Like Summer Flowers series. I have made four pieces of this series so far, and I am still working on it. I hope that I can eventually create a whole wall of this series of works. At the same time, I also invented my own exclusive 22K gold solder powder and process patent.
Collection concept:
The core message reflected in my Golden Breast Series is the desire for a better life, and even a short life should bloom as brightly as a summer flower. One of my closest friends who I grew up with had breast cancer. She felt that she had no breasts and lost her hair. She felt that she was no longer a woman, or even a complete person. She could only live in a mediocre way, just to spend more time with her young daughter. Her hopelessness in life also plunged me into deep pain. I didn't even dare to think about the word "breasts". My heart was filled with fear. I kept asking myself, is there really no hope for her? No, she had to have hope! Since breast cancer cannot be completely cured, why not face it more bravely and actively? Life is not perfect, but so what? There are gorgeous moments in every woman's life that should bloom like a flower and be remembered even if it's just for a moment. So I made the series "Life is like a summer flower". I want to tell her that she is unique, irreplaceable and dazzlingly beautiful. Please never give up on yourself or hope.
