Designer biography:
I am a multidisciplinary artist, designer and jeweller. Starting with an academic background in fine arts in Romania, I began my career in jewellery with a bachelor degree in Fashion Jewellery from University of the Arts London. I am currently working as jeweller and silversmith at an established company within the Goldsmiths' Centre London. Simultaneously, I run my own jewellery brand and undertake bespoke commissions. My designs have so far been exhibited at Budapest Jewellery Week 2022, Cluster Jewellery Fair London 2022 and Slovenian Jewelry Week 2023. As a designer and maker, I work at the intersection between craftsmanship and novelty to provoke thought and create positive change.
Collection concept:
Liquidore is an art jewellery collection that addresses the unique beauty born through the interaction of humankind and nature, organic and inorganic matter. A type of aesthetics that can't be rivalled, proving that it is not just damage that is inflicted when the two worlds collide. All the pieces are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted by myself. I used electroforming in pure silver to encase fragile shells and rocks collected from the English seaside into everlasting pieces of wearable art. Sterling silver findings elevate the organic pieces and gold plated surfaces emphasize the textural contrast. Each piece is a wearable sculpture waiting to tell its story.
