Designer biography:

Contemporia is a design studio established in 2014 by Ioana Streza and Alex Burlacu.
The team is now composed of 4 members with backgrounds in the fields of visual arts and architecture who are involed in both the creative and the manufacturing processes. Contemporia jewelry pieces are being made in the studio’s own workshop in small series or as unique pieces, combining traditional crafts, primarily metalsmithing, with contemporary techniques and technologies and experimenting with less conventional materials like wood, plastic, ceramics, textile.
From an aesthetic point of view, the direction of the studio is towards clean, simple, universal shapes that give Contemporia pieces a timeless and universal vibe. The objects are always imagined as extensions for the personality of those who choose to wear them, not just elements that complement an outfit. They are dedicated to open-minded people, who love art and regard jewelry as an object in which the creator invested first and foremost her soul.
