Designer biography:

Erzsébet Betti Domonyi goldsmith and the architect. Her works are born at the intersection of texture and geometry. The creative process reveals both the architect’s and the jeweller’s edge, interpreted in a pure formal world. Traces of the tools used in the making are conceptually present on each object, expressed in sweeping curves or angular shapes. She likes to experiment with materials and has a progressive mindset. This path enables her to exlore different materials in different contexts, how they interact and become one. What is most important for her is to allow the material to evolve as it will, to let it take its course, pushing the thin line between consciousness and contingency. She wants to show a segment of contemporary art where she can create self-identical creations while retaining both engineering and art.

Collection concept:

N-dimension space
We are surrounded by constant change and movement, in which we must find the fixed points in the hope of a secure existence. A fixed point can be a place, a person, an object, or a piece of jewellery. The collection explores the context of movement and fixed points, where the perspective of the wearer or observer of the jewellery defines the relations. Understanding the uncertainty, associated with rapid, sudden, or radical changes, as a still point provides an opportunity to pause and quiet the mind, helping to adapt to the new situation.
