ABBI MARIE
Designer biography:
Abbi Marie is a jewelry artist who works in a variety of traditional fabrication and casting techniques. Currently based in Savannah, she graduated with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2021. She fell in love with creating jewelry because of its potential to reveal how the wearer sees themselves and the world around them. In that vein, each of her pieces is designed with a narrative in mind; some are standalone stories while others serve as chapters in a longer tale.
Collection concept:
This collection is a reflection on escapism when life isn’t how we would hope it to be. I grew up with my nose in a book, enthralled by the worlds and characters contained within the pages, and wishing I could step into their realm without looking back. I wanted to create souvenirs from those fairytales and daydreams to take back into this one, to infuse a little bit of wonder into mundanity.
