Designer biography:
I am Oana Galmati, a 36 years old dreamer based in Cluj Napoca, Romania. I'm a licensed pharmacist since 2012. My first contact with contemporary jewelry was in 2014 when I took a course at a contemporary jewelry school in Cluj-Napoca. Between 2016-2019 I participated in local fairs such as Cluj Design Days, Fashion Unplugged at Electric Castle, Galeria de Stil. In 2019 I went on maternity leave and in 2021 I returned to pharmacy until October 2023 when I quit my job to do only jewelry. My recent experience as a contemporary jeweller was my first participation at AUTOR fair.
Collection concept:
"Divenire" – my first jewelry collection that blends the elegance of silver and the warmth of brass to create a timeless allure. Each piece embodies minimalism, with clean lines and profound designs. Floating spheres, delicately suspended, reflect life's essence and symbolize the ever-changing nature of existence. Inspired by the Italian word for "to become," the collection embodies self-discovery and empowerment. "Divenire" celebrates embracing the beauty of our perfectly imperfect lives, each piece carrying a sense of purpose and meaning that tells a story of finding your path amidst the chaos of life.
