Tatiana Antohi - SHA Jewellery (Romania)
SHA JEWELLERY
Designer biography:
Even before starting Sha Jewellery, I was passionate about making jewelry. It began as a hobby, creating pieces for myself. Earrings, especially statement ones, were my favorite to make. To me, earrings add magic to an outfit's personality. At first I reworked vintage bits with new ones to create unique pieces. The jewelry I wore caught people's attention and started to ask about my creations. Though I always wanted to be in design, starting a jewelry business was daunting. My love for art, design, and history initially led me into clothing design. This experience inspired me to dive into jewelry making and metalsmithing. Motivated, I took courses, thus learning from local jewelers. My fascination with creating from imagination naturally transitioned me into a jeweler.
Collection concept:
The inspiration behind the Fusion collection came from old-world art, culture, and traditions mixed with contemporary art, creating a timeless aesthetic. Walking through the narrow streets of Rome one morning, I was stunned by the multitude of holy places and architecture. Angels carved in wood, golden frames covered in timeworn velvet matting. Mounted on to the velvet are countless sacred hearts washed in rays of sun through the stained glass windows. All these fascinating details left for us throughout time marked my inspiration and placed the sacred hearts as the centerpiece for my Fusion collection.
