Collection Concept:
This project is focused on exploring material representations of my dreams through jewellery. How can I use figurative jewellery techniques to represent and discuss my dreams ? I was interested in my dreams from a young age, in primary school I started recording their scenes. Like most people I found it hard to recall the entire dream, everything disappeared when I woke up. As a result I started to give myself psychological suggestions before sleeping, gradually I could remember more and more details of my dreams. Although I know they are not complete, I still enjoy recalling them. After I read the interpretations of dreams by Sigmund Freud, I realized there is some indescribable desire behind each of my subconscious thoughts and dreams .
Through these works I selected some representable dreams from my memories. For instance, recurring dreams, nightmares, and prophecies. I created an illustration for every dream. I then incorporated these narratives and illustrations into the jewelleries design.
I hope to share my strange dream experiences with people and promote conversation and exchanges as I enjoy listening to others stories.
