The Hungarian Art Jewelry Night started in 2015, with the aim of popularizing the Hungarian jewelry design in a broader circle. Following the previous principles, new perspectives have been evolved. This year, as a result of the positive evaluation of past events and the growing interests in the program, aside from Hungarian artists, foreign participants are also welcomed. We wish to introduce the Hungarian and the Central Eastern European contemporary jewelry design, and the accompanying arts. Our attempt is to call the attention of a broader designer community, involving the young Hungarian goldsmith generation, with expanding the concept of jewelry and geographical boundaries.
Read MoreArchived Prototypes is a collaborative duo between the Romanian jewelry designer Mara Grigoriu and the Japanese fashion designer Yusuke Hotchi. Read MoreI like to work on different levels of art, handicraft and design. I mix materials with a conceptual content, especially from the everyday life. I am a helpless collector of almost everything, trash and wasted things but also material from the nature, especially stones, shells and pieces of wood. The shape, condition and color are significant and therefore a thing must very often wait for the right moment to be explored and developed because I want to have a message or a story in my jewelry.
Read MoreI’m very inspired by Berlin vibe and my day to day interaction with people, but most of my concepts and ideas are coming from introspection and epiphanies. I also feel very inspired in my cozy and intimate home. For me home, where I also have my studio, it is a safe and creative place. When stuck in the creative process, I like to listen to records with my childhood fairy tales. They always give me an incredible feeling of peacefulness.
Read MoreAlthough I went to Art school, in 1990, I’ve cut short my theater career and I became a journalist, hoping to be part of the change, to contribute to the new democracy I found myself in. However, I realized that being a journalist means to deal with some of the more uglier sides of life, so I felt the need to come back to art. This time it wasn’t theater, this time I chose jewelry.
Read MoreI am part of a generation wielded by “this is how it should be”, this is what we are supposed to do”, according to rules passed over by our elders. I did not find myself, I did not adapt, I did not want to cut any corners. I have learned to listen to my heart and soul, to develop my thoughts from a qualitative point of view. I have learned that it is never too late or too early to want to do it, as long as you love whatever you do. I consider myself a spoiled brat of life. It is a privilege to dream, to set goals and to fulfill them.
Read MoreMonom bears the mark of the designer's personality, the objects being created in a calculated way, with
a special dedication for each piece. It creates architectures that, once dressed, potentiate both geometry and organic by contrast.
It all began as a game, along with a friend, and it soon became a serious hobby. It reminded me of a passion I had in my teenage years - painting, and I’ve discovered it combines rather well with leather. So I started crafting some bracelets, than a necklace, until, all of a sudden, I had quite a few pieces created.
Read MoreThe initial vision of each jewelry piece is instinctive and visceral, an organic expression of my perception of the world. Yet, the final design is sleek and architectural, influenced by my years of architecture study and my inclination towards minimalism, extracting the quintessence of things. I place great value on concept and try to tell a story with my pieces but also to allow for them to create a story for the wearer.
Read MoreI am a graduate of the Romanian-American University of Economics, but after completing several courses at Assamblage School of Contemporary Jewelry, I started to work as an independent jewelry designer. In my jewelry design I seek out the almost imperceptible details in lines, colors, forms that are surrounding us and in the reflection of light. I think there is a subtle geometry in our everyday life.

Read MoreI am a jewellery designer maker, with a strong background in cultural marketing and over ten years of engineering work experience. I am interested in people and inspired by books. Empowered by the freedom of expression that jewellery can offer, I hope that my work is an authentic and sincere expression of my ideas and emotions.
Read MoreI am an artist who discovered her creativity after 30 years. I used to work in IT for almost 10 years, although I was always attracted to arts. During a period of acupuncture therapy, I began exploring my creative and spiritual sides. I found myself fascinated by the beauty of stones and metals and began to work various bracelets. My friends have always had my back and encouraged me, which gave me the power to move forward.
Read MoreWith universal historical elements and a Romanian spirit of creation I hope I can contribute to a legacy for the future that will bring as much happiness and satisfaction, to the one who wears them, as I felt when making them.
Read MoreContemporia jewels are created as extensions for the personality of the one who chooses to wear them, not just elements that complement the outfit. They are dedicated to open-minded people, who love art and regard jewelry as an object in which the creator invested first and foremost his soul.
